LivingRoomSociety knows that independent artists are independent business owners, and with that comes costs. Costs to create, costs to promote, costs to protect, costs to manage, costs on costs on costs.
As such, we’ve built a number of programs, and partnerships, aimed at helping artists where we can – even a little goes a long way. Our commitment to independent music means a commitment to continuing to innovate and expand in this category, so be sure to check back often – and our Artist Success Team will be sure to bring up solutions that make sense along the way as well!

Discounts that grow
Much like our Society Membership, your ongoing relationship with us means tier-based growth, and with new badges come new discounts on our products and services – across our wide offering. The discounts grow as our relationship does, as it should. It’s one of the easiest ways we can help!
Points for purchases
All Artist Partners are also Society Members and can partake in, and benefit from, the wide range of games, shows, content, apps and more, that the Society has to offer. And in doing so, you’re earning new points and prizes – points that can be converted into direct discounts or full-out purchases of LivingRoomSociety products and services.
Your time spent supporting the independent artist community equates to free or discounted products and services for you to further your own career, that’s the center of the community-driven approach we’re taking to LivingRoomSociety.
Payment Assistance
We are starting to offer deferred payment and financed payment options on select products and services, in response to growing demand, and subject to conditions and restrictions. We’re trying to make it easier for our artist partners, without burdening them with high interest, or becoming a collections agency – neither of which are of interest to us. As we continue to broaden this segment, we are also looking to some strategic partners to offer additional services, such as the growing “buy now pay later” or BNPL solutions landscape. Check back often for updates. You will be notified if/when financing options are available, most notably currently available on mixing and mastering services, production and songwriting services, website projects and e-commerce programs, Skrut campaigns, and more.
Donate Links
Many platforms in the industry now feature “donate links” or buttons enabling fans to help support the artist, and some artists have successfully been able to grow monetized followings on platforms like Patreon, both of which are useful tools in the artist toolbox.
Our new Prestream.me links come with the option for manage donation links, with several options available, and our managed campaigns and artist programs can feature both donate links across multiple assets and properties, as well as managed options surrounding them. Direct Funding
We are really excited to be in the early stages of our new LivingRoomSociety “Resident” program. It’s a hybrid between a “traditional label” structure, and our existing artist services agency programs – and it includes a couple of “twists” that we think are going to result in one of the most integrated and mutually beneficial artist and fan communities in existence. Check back for details, and we’ll be communicating updates to our Society Members in the portal and via email.
This program will enable eligible and participating artists to receive significantly discounted and/or no-cost products and services, built into growth and/or production campaigns we collaboratively formulate – funded by LivingRoomSociety and our community of Society Members.
Funding amounts will range from $250 – $15000 CAD, subject to limited availability in the early program, with repeated eligibilities possible in each calendar year. Artists keep all of their ownership, you own your art, we’re here to help it grow. These are not debt programs, artists have no liability when eligible and accept the programs. We’re excited to share more details with select artist partners early stage, our beta phase is invite-only, and we’re forming a unique roundtable. Grants and loans assistance
The government, and a number of non-profit associations and organizations, run several grant programs, bursaries and lending programs aimed at musicians, but also more broadly at the arts, at creators, and at small business owners – which many of your are.
We’ve partnered with some specialized grants writers, with options to pay to engage, and keep all of the raised capital, or to reduce risk through contingency-based applications wherein a percentage of your funding is awarded to the grantwriter.
We’ve partnered in these areas as opposed to directly engaging in grantwriting, it’s a craft of it’s own and something that carries risk, as many apply and there are no guarantees around awards and returns. As such, it’s something we feared could sour our relationship, and so we’ve chosen to partner with people who live and breathe grantwriting, and instead, we focus on being able to help you – free of bias, to navigate your options and help where we can in understanding and navigating the process. We take no fees, no percentages, and you are under no obligation to work with our partners – there are many in this field you can choose from independently and your ASM is still happy to chat with you about it.
